Car heading on M62 towards Manchester flips over and lands on roof on OTHER side of carriageway

A car heading on the M62 towards Manchester on Wednesday flipped over and landed on the OTHER side of the carriageway. Police raced to the scene and closed off the busy road after the crash, which involved three vehicles, with the driver of the flipped car narrowly escaping with just minor injuries.
The incident caused the motorway to be closed off on the westbound carriageway, by junction 4, near Liverpool. The car had been travelling eastbound towards Manchester, before the incident caused it to cross the central reservation and land on its roof.
The road was closed off with the fire service and paramedics at the scene. It was later confirmed the driver of the black Toyota only sustained minor injuries.

Photographs showed emergency services at the scene of the crash on Wednesday afternoon. All traffic was held temporarily with heavy congestion at around 4pm.
A recovery van later came to retrieve the vehicle which had been badly damaged in the crash. How the car ended up on the other side of the carriageway has not yet been confirmed.
Announcing the incident, the Road's Policing Unit said: "This vehicle was travelling on the eastbound M62 but ended upside down on the westbound M62. Thankfully, and very luckily, very minor injuries to the driver. M62 westbound very slow at the moment while we recover the vehicle - and the weather has taken a turn!"
A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews were alerted at 4.03pm and on scene at 4.11pm. Two fire engines attended. On arrival crews found three vehicles had been involved in a collision. One of the vehicles was on its roof in lane
