Fans might be worried about their favorite TV shows like The Voice, Dancing With the Stars, The Masked Singer and Bachelor Nation shows like The Bachelorette and new offshoot The Golden Bachelor amid the SAG-AFTRA strike.
If you don’t know, the actor’s union – which represents 160,000 movie and television actors – is striking against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The AMPTP was formed to represent the studios, streaming services and broadcast networks in their labor negotiations with unions.

“When it comes to reality shows and unscripted television, even if an actor is a SAG-AFTRA member, they can still participate because reality shows and unscripted are under a separate SAG-AFTRA contract. They are not under the contract that people are striking about right now,” Marc told ET.
So shows like The Voice – featuring John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire this fall cycle – will still be able to film new episodes. Shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Chicago Fire, and NCIS, are unfortunately stalled because those actors are working under SAG contracts.

SAG-AFTRA’s strike continues on…but there are several projects that have received waivers or are exempt from the strike rules.
