Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney have been confused for each other for quite a while now, and the two actors are using it to their advantage while on the picket line for the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Dermot, best known for My Best Friend’s Wedding and The Wedding Date, and Dylan, who stars in FBI: Most Wanted at the current moment, were spotted striking together on Thursday afternoon (July 20) where they joked about how their similar names seem to confuse everyone.

Deadline caught up with the two stars, where Dylan first introduced himself as Dermot, before the real Dermot joined him.
“Because fair is fair,” Dermot shared of the importance of the strike going on, right alongside the WGA Strike. “We have simple proposals that are being ignored right now. It’s pretty disturbing. So in an unprecedented show of unity, for the cause of the actors and writers.”
Dylan added, “We came out together, on this most important topic because we feel that it’s time. It’s time for wages to increase. It’s time for more residuals, and it’s time to protect ourselves from AI.”
