Pictured in a 1966 episode of TV series Public Eye, a 31-year-old brunette Judy flashes a coy smile at the camera as she rests her chin thoughtfully on one hand.
Like many TV stars, Judy began her career on the stage, working for the Royal Shakespeare Company and even appearing in theatre shows alongside esteemed actor and director Laurence Olivier. Later on Judy branched out into on-screen acting, and by 1984 she had her first BAFTA under her belt for Best TV Actress as Mildred Layton in The Jewel in the Crown.
The actress also notably played Lady Catherine de Bourgh in the TV version of Pride and Prejudice in 1980, starred alongside Stephen Fry in the 1997 biopic Wilde, scored another BAFTA nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role as Maria Thins in 2003's Girl with a Pearl Earring, and appeared in two episodes of Midsomer Murders.
