It’s been a while since the first series of Bridgerton aired and grabbed the attention of Netflix viewers. Luckily the wait is coming to an end for the second series as it will premiere very soon.
Most of the cast from the first series will be returning except for Simon played by Regé-Jean Page. The second series will shift the focus on Simon and Daphne’s relationship to Anthony Bridgerton pursuing Kate, similar to the books it's based on, which focus on the life and romance of a different Bridgerton child. Simon Ashley is a new addition to the cast and plays Kate in the upcoming series.

Bridgerton’s first series is split between four episodes. We are introduced to the main characters in the series. First the Bridgertons, which are made up of the widowed Lady Violet Bridgerton and her eight children. There also are the Featheringtons and their three daughters - Prudence, Philippa and Penelope. Both families want to get their children wed to good suitors. Lady Portia Featherington feels she is competing with the Bridgertons. We are also introduced to an anonymous source called Lady Whistledown, who publishes a gossip newsletter keeping the community up to date with the latest rumours.
