A pensioner has been charged with assault after a woman’s body was found at a house in Ayr.

A body has been found in the search for a missing woman who vanished four days ago.
Tracey Todd, 56, was last seen in the Mill O’ Mains area of Dundee at around 8pm on Friday, February 9. On Monday we told how Tracey’s family were growing concerned for her welfare and officers were appealing for information.
Tragically, police have since confirmed that a body was discovered in the Claverhouse Road area of the city at around 10.20am on Tuesday.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but Tracey's heartbroken family have been informed. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and officers say their enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.20am on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the body of a woman was discovered in the Claverhouse Road area of Dundee.
"Formal identification is yet to take place however the family of missing woman Tracey Todd has been informed.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
