A woman was found dead in a flat in Edinburgh this morning, leaving the local community shocked.
Police were called to the Barn Park property in the Clovenstone area around 11.10am on Sunday. Officers discovered the woman within the flat and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force have launched an investigation to discover the circumstances behind the woman's death, which they are currently treating as unexplained.
One local resident told our sister title Edinburgh Live: "There's a huge police presence. Scary to think this is on your own front door."
Leigh-Anne Wood, who lives nearby, said: "We have been told by the police that we cannot leave our house while they carry out their investigation."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were called around 11.10am on Sunday, March 3, to a report of a death at a property in the Barn Park area of Edinburgh."
