This is the heartbreaking moment the distraught people who found Emma Caldwell's body called 999 and told police of their grim find.
The 27-year-old had been murdered by Iain Packer and left in remote woodland in South Lanarkshire in April 2005. The following month, she was discovered by members of the public at the spot, near Biggar.
They alerted police to their find and today, following the successful conviction of violent Packer, their 999 call was released by Scottish prosecutors.
The caller is heard to say, "I think we've just found a dead body".
They then told the call handler where Emma was lying, before they were asked: "How long does it look like it's been lying there?"
The woman replied: "Well, from what I could see, which wasn't very much, it's looks as though the top half is naked.
"It's face down, blonde hair I think."
