Billie Eilish is bringing on the nostalgia with a new Barbie capsule collection. 

Billie Eilish has released her song for the Barbie movie soundtrack – a soft, piano-led ballad called ‘What Was I Made For?’. Check it out below.The track was written by Eilish and her brother and collaborator Finneas especially for the soundtrack of Greta Gerwig’s new movie. Finneas also produced the song at his home studio in LA.In the lyrics, the star candidly shares feelings of losing her purpose and not being able to enjoy life.

Billie Eilish has weighed in her thoughts on fans throwing objects at artists onstage – labelling the trend as “infuriating”.The trend is one that has gathered rapid momentum in recent months, with numerous high-profile artists experiencing fans throwing items at them while they play live.The most prolific example occurred last month, when pop singer Bebe Rexha was left needing stitches after a member of the audience hurled a phone at her during her set. After the singer was filmed dropping to her knees in pain when the device hit her in the face, it was later revealed that the audience member threw it because he believed it “would be funny”.A similar incident happened to both Harry Styles, who was hit in the face during his Vienna concert, and Ava Max, who was slapped in the face by someone who ran onto the stage during a gig in Los Angeles.

Billie Eilish gave fans a warning as she talked about the "infuriating" and "dangerous" trend of performers having objects thrown at them on stage. Eilish, 21, has been a victim of the trend for "years" but also understands where the fans are coming from. "I’ve been getting hit onstage with things for like, literally, six years, I don’t know why this is like new," Eilish said at the world premiere of "Barbie" while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Global Citizen Festival is returning.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic The Global Citizen Festival will return to Central Park Sept. 23 for another ticketed-but-free concert, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ms. Lauryn Hill set as the day’s headliners. Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray and Stray Kids are also on the day’s bill.  As always, tickets to the show on the Great Lawn are free, but require fulfilling a task as part of the international advocacy organization Global Citizen’s initiative to raise awareness about hunger, poverty, climate change and inequities facing women around the world, among pressing related concerns. The broadcast component will be produced by Done and Dusted; broadcast partners have not yet been announced. The show is being presented by  by Citi and Cisco. 

British rock star Ozzy Osbourne announced Monday that he will not be performing in the Power Trip music festival in October because of health issues that have prevented him from taking the stage at times in recent years. Osbourne said his initial plan was to begin performing again in the summer of 2024, and he "optimistically moved forward" when he received the offer for Power Trip, but his health will keep him from making a return.

Eilish shared that the upcoming song ‘What Was I Made For?’ will make listeners “sob”.To announce the song, the 21-year-old singer shared a photo on Instagram of the Barbie logo with the track’s title written above it.
