A police investigation has been launched after a woman and an eight-year-old boy were left injured after a two vehicle crash near Forfar.

A male motorcyclist has tragically died after colliding with a car on a North Ayrshire road. The 52-year-old rider was travelling on the A760 between Largs and Kilbirnie when they were knocked down by a Peugeot 2008 car on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.45pm but the biker, who was riding a black and red BMW K 1300 S motorbike, was pronounced dead a short time later. No one else was injured during the collision.
The road was closed for around nine hours to allow for a full accident investigation to take place before reopening at around 12.45am on Monday, November 7.
Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses who have yet to come forward.
Sergeant Adnan Alam said: “I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident who has not already contacted police to get in touch.
“In particular I would ask any motorists with dash-cam footage to check it to see if they may have information that could assist in our investigation.”
