The BBC has given us a sneak peek into the second episode of Beyond Paradise, the spin-off show from Death In Paradise.
The show focuses on DI Humphrey Goodman, who has relocated to the peaceful town of Shipton Abbott with his future wife, Martha. Previously, Humphrey was trying to solve a murder mystery that took place on a steam train. However, Martha was busy spying on the main house from their houseboat as her mum Anne decided to take a leap into the world of dating.
A clip from tonight's episode, shared by The Mirror, shows Martha and Esther's daughter chatting about dating apps with Martha's mum. In the heart-warming scene, Esther's daughter shares her personal experiences and encourages Anne to "try before you buy", after confessing she fell in love with her late husband in an instant. In the clip, Anne opens up about chatting to a man from a dating app.
"He won't stop pinging. He was [nice] but he's a bit dull," she says. "Now he's after a second date, I want to say a polite no thanks but how?" That's when Esther's daughter Zoe advises Anne to "ghost" her admirer.
"Ghost him and move on. Don't reply. Sooner or later, he'll get the hint you're not interested.
That's ghosting," she says, to which Anne says: "That seems a bit mean." Meanwhile, Humphrey has a fresh case to unravel with the assistance of his team.
The plot thickens as a psychic starts predicting peculiar events in the life of a woman who recently endured a personal loss.
As links to the woman's deceased granddad come to light, it seems like things are becoming clearer for Humphrey and his team. Meanwhile, Humphrey and Martha remain steadfast in their desire to become foster parents, which distracts the already busy detective. Anne, played by Barbara
