Amy Dowden has kicked off her festive celebrations at home after a challenging year being treated for cancer and, now, managing a broken foot. The Strictly Come Dancing star shared a snipped of the trouble she is still having as she continues her cancer battle - sharing a brief look at one of the everyday issues she faces from chemotherapy. The pro dancer, 33, shared a photo of herself in bed with tissues in her nostrils to stop her nose from running, telling fans that this was the "reality of having no nose hair".
But with Christmas approaching, Amy has decided to bring some festive cheer to her home and redecorated the home she shares with husband Benjamin Jones. Recruiting a couple of friends to help, the Christmas tree was put up and decorated while other decorations were also spotted around her living room. Speaking to the camera in a video posted on her Instagram story, Amy explained: "I know it's not quite December but after the year I've had and now the foot...
we are putting up the Christmas decorations!" Amy then panned the camera towards her tree and her friends, who were helping out with the decorating. She joked: "I've got my little elves to come and help me. We're turning the Jones house into Christmas...
my favourite time of the year! I cannot wait!" After a difficult 2023, Amy is hoping to bring positivity into 2024 and is having structural renovations at her house to help make the next year a better place for her. The dancer provided an update on the progress to her house, showing off the building work happening across the back of her home. She said: "Loads of you have been asking me how is the home renovations going.
Well, there you can see a little bit of it. Lots to do but very exciting... 2024 guys
