BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden praises co-star for hidden help during return to ballroom after latest hospital scare

Amy Dowden shared her praise and thanks to her Strictly Come Dancing co-star who was able to help her as she made a return to the ballroom just days after her latest hospital scare. The dancer was left gutted last week when she shared how she'd suffered a fresh setback with her health.
Amy was devastated to let her followers know she had spent more time in the hospital amid her on-going fight against breast cancer. The 33-year-old announced in June that she'd been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and had already undergone a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. Earlier this month, she emotionally rang the bell as she finished her planned eight round of chemotherapy.
But last week, after also fracturing her foot, Amy revealed how she'd been dealt a fresh health blow just three weeks after finishing her treatment, telling fans she was rushed to hospital on November 27 and diagnosed with a blood clot on the lung. Doctors had feared it was on its way to her heart, but following further examination, established that was not the case.

Speaking in the video clips now back at home, Amy said: "Unfortunately I've had another nightmare this week. Just seems to be never-ending... They were really worried that the clot was travelling to my heart or affecting my heart. Lucky enough, it's not."
