Craig Revel Horwood's time as a Strictly Come Dancing judge may be coming to an end as he plans to exit the show once he hits a milestone birthday.
The 58-year-old has been a judge on the dancing competition since 2004, but earlier this year, he revealed he wanted to "hang up his shoes" when he turned 60.
As his birthday is in January, this means that next year's series could be his final one - with one professional dancer tipped to replace him when he leaves.
The Mirror reports that bets are being placed on who could take Craig's place on the panel when he does exit the show, which he hinted earlier this year that he wanted to do.
Speaking to Best magazine before the 2023 series kicked off, he said he wanted to “hang up my shoes and enjoy life” once he is 60, adding: “I’m working hard while I can, especially as I love what I do. It keeps me on my toes, darlings!
“I'm now the same age as the late, great Len Goodman was when he first started - that's scary, isn't it?! The reason I look forward to it every year is because the cast changes. I think that's what's fun about it, it doesn't age. And this year's line-up is fab-u-lous!"
Bets are now being placed on who could take over Craig's role, with a dance professional, X Factor singer and Oscar nominates actress all being possibilities.
Former Strictly pro Joanne Clifton has tipped Giovanni Pernice to replace Craig when he leaves the show, thanks to his "great personality".
She told Betway: "Many of us would like to have a go at judging. I completely get why Anton wanted to. I can see Giovanni Pernice going for it in a couple of years' time. He could definitely be a type of Bruno Tonioli on the panel as he and Anton have their show together. He has a great personality."
