Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left saying 'good job' as Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola caused a bit of a divide as they opened Musicals week. It was all about the razzle-dazzle of the stage on Saturday night (December 2) as the BBC One dance contest returned to screens for the quarter-finals.
And it was down to the former Coronation Street star and her Italian dance partner to kick things off after an opening performance from the show's talented group of professional dancers who recreated the Broadway and West End show, A Chorus Line.
Ellie and Vito brought the theatrics to the Strictly dancefloor as she kicked off musicals week with a quickstep to the song Belle from Beauty And The Beast.

Dressed as the Disney princess in a blue and white dress, she glided and twirled across the room with her dance partner Vito Coppola, who donned a Gaston costume with a bellowing white shirt and red waistcoat.
Head judge Shirley Ballas said the narrative she told throughout the performance was “off the charts”. She added: “You did a wonderful job of opening the show, well done.”
Anton Du Beke also praised her as the “Belle of the ball”, before adding that he “absolutely loved” the routine. After the judges’ praise, it was confirmed they had secured a score of 36 which at the end of the show left them in second place on the leaderboard behind Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin who scored the first perfect score of the 2023 series.
