Amy Dowden has said she 'can't believe it' as she offered a fresh update on her cancer journey. The Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media to confirm that she will undergo her final round of chemotherapy treatment this Thursday (November 9) after her latest blood results came back.
Amy, who has been a part of the BBC One dance contest since 2017, announced in June she had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and had already undergone a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery after she discovered a lump in her right breast before going on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones.
The 34-year-old has since faced the news that doctors found another type of cancer, changing her planned course of treatment which she described as a "massive blow" as it meant she couldn't compete on Strictly this year. But Amy has since been sharing her cancer journey and raising awareness for others to check their breasts.

Taking to social media on Monday (November 6), Amy was feeling positive and shared how she'd headed back to the gym with her personal trainer, Ami, and has begun working with her on her mission to become "the best Amy I can possibly be" as she focuses on getting well and being back on the dancefloor
Amy also emotionally said she struggles to look at herself in the mirror and showed how she is slowly losing her eyelashes. She told how her muscles "are not what they used to be", but insisted that getting back into the gym and "doing gentle exercises" to help her through the process.
