BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent has said she was 'thrilled' as she shared co-star Carol Kikwood's wedding news. The presenter revealed on social media that the weather woman had tied the knot with her partner Steve after Christmas.
It came after Caol confirmed the news herself during an appearance on BBC Breakfast on Friday (December 29). She confirmed the couple's wedding took place on Wednesday (December 27) in Buckinghamshire.
"It was the most perfect and romantic and intimate wedding. We are both so incredibly happy," Carol told BBC Breakfast. It comes after she revealed her engagement live on the BBC One news programme from the Chelsea Flower Show in 2022.

At the time, she showed off her engagement ring during a weather forecast and said: "We went out for a picnic, I had absolutely no idea. The weather was glorious, we were sitting chatting... he was fumbling in his pocket and then out came a ring, I thought he was joking actually, I didn't believe him to start with."
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter following Carol's confirmation of tying the knot, Sally shared a picture of the newlyweds. Carol, 61, looked gorgeous in an off-the-shoulder white dress with a large cream bouquet while her new husband Steve looked dapper in a black tailcoat and grey suit.
"Congratulations Carol and Steve," Sally penned alongside the stunning snap. "Thrilled to share this beautiful picture of the happy couple," she added with a red love heart before the comments came flooding in.
