Amy Dowden caught up with Scots presenter Lorraine Kelly on Wednesday and straight after, she was in hospital for more treatment.
The BBC Strictly star was diagnosed with breast cancer last May and had a full mastectomy before ringing the bell for the end of her chemo sessions just recently.
Amy, who will need to receive treatment for the next five years, was absent from the lineup of Strictly last year as she takes time off to focus on her health but she made regular appearances on the show, much to the delight of fans. And this week after she chatted to Lorraine about how things have been going as she prepares to get back to work on Strictly 2024, she told Instagram followers she was in hospital straight after the live broadcast on ITV.
Amy posted a photo from a ward on her stories as she said: “From @lorraine to hospital apt. How very different worlds!”
During her appearance on Lorraine, Amy revealed she felt a bit “bitter” when she saw people sharing highlights on social media about their best bits of the year.
The Welsh pro dancer said: “On New Year’s Eve, when you wake up, and you see everyone’s posts about a year, I was actually quite bitter. At the beginning of the year, I had so many lovely plans. And I was on the Strictly arena tour and had a honeymoon planned with my husband.
“And within a day, it doesn’t just change during the treatment and surgery, it changes forever to be honest, because it has changed me as a person. looked back and I did find some amazing opportunities that I had but also, when I looked back, I thought, I’ve had cancer, I’ve lost my hair, I’ve lost my boob, I’ve hadsepsis, and I went into septic shock and I’ve had blood clots, I broke my foot. Then you’re watching everybody else share these
