As protests continue in the fight against racism and police brutality following the tragic death of George Floyd, countless famous faces are urging fans to exercise their right to vote. — And, that doesn’t just mean in the big November election for president, but in upcoming primaries, as well as other elections in states across the country.

While President Donald Trump is busy holding photo ops with an upside-down bible and demanding that protesters be handled by the military and threatening to unleash dogs on them, former President Barack Obama has decided to release a message of hope and unity. Since leaving the Oval Office, the Democratic icon has been rather silent on political matters.

Amid the pandemic and protests, several states — Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. – are holding primaries on June 2.

Barack Obama, 58, spoke out in a statement about the headline-making nationwide protests over the weekend in response to the tragic death of George Floyd on June 1 and included some in-depth “lessons” that he is advising Americans to go by to bring about peaceful “real change”. The political figure’s informative post gained a large amount of supporters, including many celebrities, and some of them shared positive responses on social media.

The death of George Floyd has prompted outrage around the world and now Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama are speaking out.

While we're all stuck at home on quarantine mode due to the coronavirus pandemic, Michelle Obama has decided to gift students graduating this year a special virtual graduation ceremony. Dear Class of 2020 will be hosted by the former First Lady and will include commencement speeches by her, Barack Obama, BTS and Lady Gaga amongst several others. As per Variety, the star power has doubled up now with the inclusion of Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato and more.

Former President Barack Obama on Saturday criticized U.S. leaders overseeing the nation's response to the coronavirus, telling college graduates in an online commencement address that the pandemic shows many officials "aren't even pretending to be in charge." Obama spoke on Show Me Your Walk, HBCU Edition, a two-hour event for students graduating from historically black colleges and universities broadcast on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

To make up for the cancellation of graduations around the country, one very special guest showed up to help send the students off into the future. Former President Barack Obama gave two different commencement speeches this weekend, one for the graduates of historically black colleges and universities, and one that was aired as part of Graduate Together: High School Class of 2020 Commencement, which was streamed across all the major networks Saturday night.

It's not every day Barack Obama gives your graduation speech.  In honor of LeBron James' star-studded virtual "Graduate Together" ceremony for the class of 2020 on Saturday night, the 44th president of the United States stepped up to the plate to deliver some uplifting words in these challenging times.  After all, the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing protocols have shuttered schools for months and put an end to traditional graduation ceremonies this year.

Let's give it up for the graduating class of 2020!

Leave it to former president Barack Obama to bring us a bit of hope and positivity amid the coronavirus pandemic.
