Michael Bublé is a classic part of every Christmas and now he's even landed a starring role in Asda's festive advert for 2023.
Shot by Oscar-winning director Taika Waititi, the supermarket's Christmas advert was released today, and will be shown for the first time on TV during The Voice tonight at 9.15pm on ITV.
In the 90-second advert, the singing sensation takes on the role of Chief Quality Officer in an Asda warehouse, sampling some of the supermarket's festive food offerings that are available to buy this year.
Tasked with making sure the supermarket delivers the very best quality for the nation this Christmas, Bublé is seen measuring rows of individual chocolate and orange panettones and indulging in some brown butter and spiced dark rum mince pies, Wales Online reports.
Shot by Oscar-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi, the ad opens with Bublé sitting, full of cheer, feet up on his new desk, and his gold-plated Chief Quality Officer desk sign.
“Products to approve – so bring Mr. Bublé your best”, requests an Asda colleague, once Bublé has finished requesting a “clean up on aisle five” – something he’s ‘always wanted’ to do.
He enters the festive warehouse as seen in the teaser as he gets to work making sure Asda's finest Christmas offerings are all up to scratch.
From selecting the final cheese to complete Asda’s Extra Special Christmas Cheeseboard, to sampling some truffle and parmesan pigs in blankets, he makes sure each and every food item is of the highest quality.
Fans may also notice a reference to last year's Buddy the Elf ad as the singer samples some pigs in blankets flavours, quickly dismissing the maple-covered one as 'so last year'.
At the end of the advert, Buble is asked by a colleague: "Off for the night are

Taika Waititi is stepping out for the premiere of his new movie!
Taika Waititi directed two of the four Thor films starring Chris Hemsworth and as rumors that a fifth installment is being developed, the director is saying he is not involved.
Though the general consensus is that “Thor: Love and Thunder” is a disappointing entry in the franchise, the film still earned more than $760 million globally. Given the disastrous start for “The Marvels” and Marvel’s recent woes, perhaps ‘Thor 4’ will be getting a bit of revisionist history soon enough, and that might mean the studio would be interested in calling up Taika Waititi to see if he’s ready for yet another Asgardian adventure.
