Arsenal defender Ben White has revealed he ignored Manchester City's victory over Liverpool on Saturday because he doesn't watch football.
Pep Guardiola's side put the pressure on the Gunners with a convincing 4-1 win over Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium. The reigning champions temporarily closed the gap on the London outfit to five points, but with Mikel Arteta's side playing later in the day, the current league-leaders were able to regain their eight-point advantage.
City went 1-0 down after Mohamed Salah put Liverpool in front in the 17th minute, but Julian Alvarez - who played in place of the injured Erling Haaland - levelled proceedings in the 27th minute. The Blues dominated the second period and scored three times to make it 4-1 thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish.

The Blues' win saw them move within five points of the summit, however, Arsenal responded with an equally convincing victory against Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium. White, who scored the Gunners' second goal in the 4-1 win, insisted that he isn't feeling the pressure of being chased by Guardiola's side.
"I don’t watch football so I was just focussed on the game today and that was it," said White when asked if he watched City's win over Liverpool. "There’s a lot of noise going on outside, and everyone is just keeping it very quiet and just getting on with what we are doing.
"I don’t really know what’s right or wrong, I have never been in this position [competing in a title race] before. So we are just keeping quiet, heads down and working hard."
