Vincent Kompany's Burnley side confirmed their promotion back into the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough on Friday evening.
The former Manchester City captain has enjoyed an outstanding season in charge at Turf Moor, overseeing a major rebuild from the side that was relegated last season as well as transforming the club's style of play. The Clarets have dominated the second-tier from the off, with a high-pressing and expansive style.
A run of 18 games unbeaten - 14 of which were wins - took Kompany and Burnley to within touching distance of promotion, with Luton's draw at Millwall on Friday handing them the chance to secure it at Middlesbrough. And with goals from Ashley Barnes and Connor Roberts, the Lancashire outfit did so with seven games to spare - the earliest of the Championship era.

The 36-year-old is one of three former Guardiola understudies to be enjoying a successful campaign in the dugout with Xavi top of La Liga with Barcelona while Mikel Arteta's Arsenal lead the Premier League title race.
The current City boss signed a two-year extension in November which keeps him at the club until 2025 but upon Burnley's promotion back to the top flight some Blues fans have already picked their next manager. Some on Twitter made bold predictions abut Kompany once more returning to Etihad permanently in future years.
