When Zott gets pregnant, her lab fires her and she is all alone, left to carve out her dream in a challenging society who values women more in the domestic sphere as mothers and homemakers.

Johnny Depp as the controversial King Louis XV from upcoming historical romance drama, Jeanne du Barry.Directed by French filmmaker Maïwenn, who also stars in the title role, the film follows the life of Jeanne du Barry, the last royal mistress of King Louis XV who climbed the social hierarchy from her working-class roots to become the king’s lover.Alongside Depp and Maïwenn, the cast includes Benjamin Lavernhe, Pierre Richard, Melvil Poupaud, Noemie Lvovsky, Pascal Greggory and India Hair.Filming on Jeanne du Barry began at the end of July in Paris and the Île-de-France region, after Depp’s defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard concluded in June, according to Deadline.From that trial, Depp was awarded $10million (£8million) in compensatory damages and $5million in punitive damages. Heard was awarded $2million for her counterclaim against Depp.

The jury found that Heard had defamed Depp in her 2018 Washington Post opinion piece, which alluded to being a victim of domestic violence. However, the jury also found that Depp defamed Heard, through his attorney, while fighting back against her charges.“Jeanne du Barry” started shooting at the end of July (after the trial wrapped in June) in Paris and the Île-de-France region, using landmarks like the Palace of Versailles as backdrops.

Canadian actor Brendan Fraser is undergoing a massive transformation for his next role.

Zack Sharf Let the Brendan Fraser comeback begin. A24 has released a first look at Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming drama “The Whale,” in which Fraser stars as a 600-pound middle-aged man struggling to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter.

Luca Guadagnino is no stranger to the Lido, having world premieres for four of his films at the Venice Film Festival over the years, including his last film, 2018’s “Suspiria” remake. So, it’s no surprise that Guadagnino returns to the 79th edition of the festival with his latest film, “Bones And All.” The film is part of the 2022 program announced earlier today, in competition for Venice’s coveted top prize, the Golden Lion.

San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Paul Rudd and director Peyton Reed showed the first trailer for, which gave fans a first look at Jonathan Majors and Bill Murray in the upcoming threequel. Backstage, the two spoke to ET’s Matt Cohen and opened up about their upcoming roles as Kang the Conquerer and a mysterious new villain, respectively. Starring Rudd as Scott Lang along with Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, the newest installment in the film series will see the entire family exploring the Quantum Realm as they encounter strange creatures and unexpected foes while going on an adventure that will push the limits of what they thought was possible.

One of the bigger announcements at Comic-Con this weekend was Kevin Feige‘s explanation of how Marvel Studios‘s Phase 5 and Phase 6 programming would shake out. To the surprise of many, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” would be the official kickoff to Phase 5, moving the studio to what they’ve officially dubbed “The Multiverse Saga.” But while the first trailer for ‘Quantumania’ might’ve been a Comic-Con exclusive, we are able to provide a brief description of what we saw in the trailer.
