Ant and Dec fans say duo 'gone full Oprah' as Saturday Night Takeaway viewers in tears minutes into show

Ant and Dec fans have been comparing tonight's episode of Saturday Night Takeaway to Oprah Winfrey's own show.
As always a live studio audience was watching the show as normal however the presenters announced that this time it was difference. They revealed that they handpicked every member of the 411-person crowd, which was filled with foster parents and fundraisers.
And as a thank you for the live audience, who they said had collectively raised £40 million for charity, they gifted them all a getaway prize. Many watching at home likened the special giveaway to one other famous event in TV history.

Twenty years ago American TV chat host legend Oprah surprised her audience with a free car each. And the similarity of the occasion was not lost on viewers tonight who have been sharing clips of the Oprah show on social media in comparison.
One fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Literally the Oprah moment! Everyone in the audience of Saturday Night Takeaway - over 400 people - getting a free all inclusive holiday!" A second said: "Ant & Dec went full Oprah. Love to see it, delighted for the audience."
A third added: "Ant & Dec kicking off series 20 in full Oprah."
Another added: "Ant and Dec just had their own Oprah Winfrey moment with you get a holiday! You get a holiday! Everybody gets a holiday!"
Others were left in tears by the giveaway to the audience with on viewer writing on X: "Ant & Dec’s #SaturdayNightTakeaway is amazing television. Credit to the team behind it. Yes, I’m sat here crying at everyone in the audience getting a prize. Amazing stuff."
Another added: "Oh my God, what a start to a Saturday night, that whole audience have done amazing
