‘Among Us’ Animated Series Adds Dan Stevens, Liv Hewson, Kimiko Glenn to Cast

The 55th edition of the Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight, the parallel section of the main Cannes Film Festival, has announced its 2024 line-up. Running from May 15 to 23, the Fortnight, or the Quinzaine Des Cinéastes, in French, will debut 21 feature films and ten short films.

EXCLUSIVE: Newcomer Dan Hough has been cast in Speak No Evil, the Blumhouse and Universal psychological horror thriller from writer/director James Watkins.

EXCLUSIVE: Aliyah Mastin (Honeygirls) and Percy Daggs IV (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey) are set as series regulars opposite Sterling K. Brown in Dan Fogelman‘s new Hulu drama, joining previously announced James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi and Nicole Brydon Bloom. Additionally Michelle Meredith (The Morning Show) and Cassidy Freeman (The Righteous Gemstones) have been tapped to recur in the series from 20th Television.

Patton Oswalt(We All Scream), Debra Wilson (MADtv), Phil LaMarr (MADtv) and Wayne Knight (Seinfeld) round out the voice cast for Among Us, an animated series based on the highly popular game, from CBS Studios, Innersloth, and creator Owen Dennis (Infinity Train). They join previously announced Randall Park, Ashley Johnson, Yvette Nicole Brown, Elijah Wood, Dan Stevens, Liv Hewson and Kimiko Glenn. CBS Studios‘ animation arm Eye Animation Productions is currently developing the project in partnership with Innersloth, the independent studio behind the game.

Variety has learned that Patton Oswalt, Debra Wilson, Phil LaMarr, and Wayne Knight have all been cast in the series, which is currently in the works at CBS Studios. Naman Ramachandran Toonz Media Group and Be That Spark Corp, a joint venture between BLKBX Originals and Zuroam Media, have signed a co-production and co-distribution agreement for upcoming 3D animated series “Little Sparks.” “Little Sparks” is based on the children’s book series “A Little Spark” by Chris Parsons, recipient of the Mom’s Choice Award Gold Medal for family-friendly media. The books will be adapted into a CGI animated series aimed at the four to eight age group.

Selome Hailu The animated series based on Studio WildCard’s “Ark: Survival Evolved” video game finally has a platform attached. The first six episodes of Season 1 surprise dropped on Paramount+ on Thursday, with the remaining seven episodes set for a later date. Spanning eons of human history, “Ark: The Animated Series” follows 21st century paleontologist Helena Walker (voiced by Madeleine Madden), who finds herself resurrected on a mysterious primeval island populated by prehistoric beasts.

Surprise! The first six episodes of Ark: The Animated Series, based on the hit adventure video game Ark: Survival Evolved, are available to stream now exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada. The series will debut in all other Paramount+ international markets starting April 19. The seven-episode Part 2 of the season will be released at a later date. Watch the promo below.

Ethan Shanfeld As “The Office” showrunner Greg Daniels looks to create a new series in the world of Dunder Mifflin, he’s tapped “Nathan for You” co-creator Michael Koman to help lead the project, sources tell Variety. Daniels and Koman would serve as co-creators of the prospective series, which has not yet been greenlit to series and is still in development at Universal Television. It is not a reboot of “The Office” but is set in the same universe, meaning it would likely be set in a different office setting with all new characters.
