Louis Theroux revealed the moment when he received a surprise call from TikTok bosses, after his 'Jiggle Jiggle' rap track "blew up" their computers during a recent episode of his Spotify podcast with journalist, YouTuber, and comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg. This was not the first time the pair have discussed the novelty rap. In February last year, Amelia welcomed 53-year-old documentarian and journalist Louis Theroux onto an episode of her popular 'Chicken Shop Date' series, where, as the title would suggest, she goes on a 'date' with various celebrities in a chicken shop.
During the clip, Amelia brought up a rap Louis had performed while filming a 'Weird Weekend' episode, which focused on 'Gangsta rap' and premiered all the way back in 2000. After being asked if he can still remember any of the song, Louis went ahead and recited the whole chorus off by heart. "My money don't jiggle, jiggle, it folds," he began.
"I like to see you wiggle, wiggle, for sure. It makes me wanna dribble, dribble, you know. Riding in my Fiat, you really have to see it.
"Six feet two in a compact, no slack. But luckily, the seats go back, I got a knack to relax in my mind. Sipping some red, red wine." Initially, the performance may have appeared as a lighthearted moment between the pair, however, little did they know that it would rapidly transform into a social media phenomenon more than two decades since its creation.
Throughout the spring of 2022, the rap captivated millions of TikTokers, who incorporated it into their videos, sparking a global dance frenzy.
