In this role, starting with the 2022 League of Legends World Championship esports tournament, Lil Nas X will be responsible for “creating explosive musical moments,” including a live performance for the game’s 180 million monthly players and fans, as well as a new League champion skin. “I felt like it was time for me to try something new,” Lil Nas X said in a statement. “I’ve left my mark on pop culture in so many ways, and now it’s time to take on the world of gaming. Anna Marie de la Fuente Seattle-based MindRiot Entertainment is teaming up with Panama’s Hypatia Films, an associate producer of Claire Denis’ Cannes Grand Prix winner “Stars at Noon,” on the groundbreaking documentary, “In Search of Atlantis,” based on the findings of Seattle native Dr. Jason Rubin who has used deductive reasoning, the writings of philosopher Plato and the most advanced satellite sonar imagery to pinpoint the location of the fabled lost island of Atlantis.  According to MindRiot co-founder and chief creative officer Jonathan Keasey, Dr. Rubin passed on other Hollywood suitors as he liked MindRiot’s approach to the content and the fact that it had marshalled the support of multiple universities, including deep sea explorer Don Walsh, the honorary president of the Explorers Club, and even European authorities, given the maritime jurisdiction of Rubin’s site in the Atlantic Ocean.

multiple media reports, Mackey died in her sleep on Saturday from a type of blood cancer called myelodysplastic syndrome at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn.The 15-time Artios Award winner, bestowed by the Casting Society of America for casting excellence, earned her first credits as a casting assistant in the early ’80s on films such as “The World According to Garp” and worked her way through the ranks of associate and consultant.In 1985, she served as casting director for the first time on “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins” and “Rocky IV.” Mackey would go on to assemble the players for celebrated films such as “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home,” “Gladiator,” “Of Mice and Men,” “While You Were Sleeping,” “Practical Magic,” “Inspector Gadget,” “We Were Soldiers,” “Holes,” “27 Dresses” and “Bad Moms.” Her TV work included “Memphis Beat,” “Hell On Wheels,” “Claws” and “A Million Little Things.” Additionally, Mackey served as an executive producer on four projects. She was set to earn her first producing credit for the forthcoming film “Famous.”Among others, she was recognized for “A League of Their Own” in 1993 and “Smokin’ Aces” in 2006.
