Alison Hammond 'worrying popularity is waning' amid struggle with 'imposter syndrome'

This Morning star Alison Hammond has been left to wrestle with fears that her popularity is waning as she battles daily with a crippling case of imposter syndrome that often leaves her undervaluing her own worth. The bubbly presenter, who first shot to fame on Big Brother back in 2002, has made a name for herself as one of the most down to earth interviewers out there as she worked her way up from an Entertainment Reporter on This Morning, to become part of the official hosting team.
In addition, the 48 year old has also recently taken over alongside Noel Fielding as the host of The Great British Bake Off, and that’s without taking into account her own highly successful career as an author following the release of her book: Black in Time back in 2022. Yet despite all of her successes, Alison has still been haunted by her own imposter syndrome, especially following the news that she hadn’t been asked to present the BAFTA film awards again this year.
Alison, who presented the 2023 ceremony alongside Richard E Grant, had been hoping to be return for the 2024 edition, but sadly she will not be reprising her presenting role as Doctor Who’s David Tennant has been confirmed instead. According to a TV Insider, Alison has been left “gutted” by the decision, and has been left doubting her own skills and success in the wake of the situation.
The source told Closer, “Alison often suffers from imposter syndrome and thinks that everything could get taken away from her a moment’s notice, despite all her success. “Because she got into the entertainment industry via a reality show, she’s always felt like she’s has to work harder to prove to people that she’s got skill and talent and isn’t just famous for being famous.” They then added:
