Avatar 3 doesn’t premiere in theaters until the end of 2025, but Zoe Saldana just provided an update on the fourth movie in the popular franchise.
The actress was introduced to the world as Neytiri in the first movie, and she reprised her role in 2022′s Avatar: The Way of Water.
In a new interview, she confirmed that she’d be reuniting with director James Cameron on set to film the fourth movie. She also hinted at what people can expect when the movie eventually premieres.

While she didn’t spill too many details, the actress did say that we’d be meeting “evil volcano people” in the upcoming movies. “And new characters, also,” she said. “New actors.”
When talking about her experience with the franchise, Zoe said, “Being in Pandora [the world from Avatar] has also been a very powerful and life-changing milestone in my life. I will never take that for granted.”
James provided some details about the next two movies in the franchise a few months ago.
