Zawe Ashton is opening up about being pregnant while maintaining a career as an actress.
The 38-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with fiance Tom Hiddleston, talked about her life and privacy during a new cover story with Tatler.

“You’re told, ‘Don’t get pregnant’ but also ‘don’t leave it too long’ because then you’re going to be an old maid,” Zawe told the mag.
She continued, “I’ve been prehistoric in this industry since I was 25. The mixed messaging is rough and has to be addressed.” Zawe added that she wasn’t stressed out by her biological clock. She said, “It was just suddenly this self-permission comes over you that goes against all that messaging.”
Zawe also talked about her decision to remain a private person, but she said her life is different than someone like Adele, who also remains private.
“I cannot put myself in the same privacy conversation as Adele. But… I think it’s like any choice. You make it and then do it as much as you can,” she said.
Zawe recently stepped out for a screening of her new movie Mr. Malcolm’s List.
