Taylor Swift has more in common with the class of 2020 than some might think. The 30-year-old pop star appeared during YouTube's star-studded special to give a minute-long speech to this year's graduates.«I wanted to say congratulations to all the graduates this year.

The graduating class of 2020 may not have been able to celebrate their achievements in person due to the coronavirus pandemic, but they did get one last send-off on Sunday by a star-studded cast!

The superstar was featured as part of YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020 digital celebration for students on Sunday, and in her pre-recorded clip, Swift sympathised with youngsters forced to forgo in-person events as a result of Covid-19 concerns but urged them to “celebrate anyway”.

 Jennifer Lopez and Barack and Michelle Obama are merely some of the A-list appearances expected on YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020 commencement ceremony special at 3 p.m. ET on June 7. Lizzo and the New York Philharmonic are slated to open the show with a performance of Pomp and Circumstance.

Making this year’s graduation ceremony extra special, some of the biggest celebrities in the entertainment industry joined YouTube’s virtual graduation and celebrated the Class of 2020.
