Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Join Black Lives Matter March and Vow To 'Protest Until There Is Change'

NEW YORK -- As protests erupted across the country following the death of George Floyd, every major entertainment company in Hollywood issued statements of support for the black community. But as unanimous as that show of solidarity was, it was also clear that this wasn't a fight Hollywood could watch from the sidelines.

Brad Pitt has stepped out to show his support towards the Black Lives Matter protest in the US. The Once Upon A Time in Hollywood star, who has been couped up in his Los Angeles home since the Coronavirus-induced lockdown was announced, was spotted at a huge LA protest.

Back in 2018, Michael B. Jordan’s production company, Outlier Society Productions, joined the growing movement to support inclusion riders in contracts, to help make Hollywood more inclusive.

The singer and the former baseball star marched with protesters and carried Black Lives Matter signs at a demonstration in Hollywood on Sunday, and declared their intention to continue protesting until the country sees real change.

Leonardo DiCaprio came out to support the black community amid the ongoing protests around the world regarding the death of George Floyd. Page Six reported on an Instagram post today from the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor in which he clearly communicated his support.

With the rise of protests around the world, in the aftermath of the brutal killing of George Floyd by a police officer, it appears that Black actors are feeling more empowered to speak up about the racism and discrimination that is present in Hollywood. And though many are calling out the systemic racism that exists, some folks, such as “Riverdale” actress Vanessa Morgan, are taking aim at their own TV series and projects.

In the past few days, people across the USA, including several celebrities, have been breaking the social distancing rule to step out of their houses and protest against the killing of George Floyd. People are coming together to raise their voices in support of the black victims of police brutality as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. Various celebrities from Hollywood and the music industry have joined the movement through social media or by participating in the protests.
