Youth centre to host programme of free events in Manchester in celebration of third birthday

A Manchester youth centre is putting on a programme of free events in September in celebration of its third anniversary. HideOut Youth Centre will be hosting a series of events to celebrate its birthday this year.
The free ticketed events will be hosted at the Gorton centre with dates scattered across the end of September to give the public a chance to visit.
Hideout said its anniversary celebration will “reflect on the journey so far – from getting the keys on the day of the first lockdown – to supporting over 6,000 throughout the pandemic and a cost of living crisis.”

The events will be taking place on Saturday, September 23, Tuesday, September 26, and Wednesday, September 27, with each day featuring different activities taking place.
Saturday, September 23 will feature a community day open to members, their families and to the public, running from 11am to 4pm . It will showcase everything HideOut has been up to through the year, with keynote speakers and activities available for people of all ages.
Tuesday, September 26 will be a Junior Club Birthday Party, running from 5.30pm to 7pm. The evening will feature a classic disco night with a meal available for visitors.
Wednesday, September 27 is a Senior Club Birthday Party and will run from 6.30pm to 8pm. The night will feature performances, music and activities.
Aimed at young people aged eight to 19, or up to 25 for those with additional needs, HideOut Youth Centre is open seven days a week and supports approximately 4,000 youngsters.
Members have the chance to access over 20 activities every night, ranging from sports such as football, boxing and climbing, to creative arts, music,
