X Factor star stuns in white wedding as she ties the knot on 'special day' as Simon Cowell plays crucial role

X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has tied the knot with her long-term friend turned girlfriend, Emilia Smith - and BGT judge Simon Cowell walked Lucy down the aisle. Also amongst the celebrity guests were Bimini Bon-Boulash, Tom Turgoose,. Love Island's Adam Collard and Simon's partner Lauren Silverman.
Musician Lucy, 32, stunned in a beautiful three-piece bespoke suit, whilst Emilia, 34, wore a glamorous white strapless dress and sheer sleeves during their ceremony at Saltmarshe Hall in Yorkshire on Friday 14 June. During the ceremony, Lucy, who competed in the X Factor in 2012, wrote a song dedicated to her bride called 'Other Sides of the Moon' - which has now been released. Lucy competed in the X Factor over a decade ago - and surprisngly, didn't meet Simon Cowell during that time.
It was only last year that they met after Lucy wrote her memoir. After their meeting, Simon and Lucy became very close friends, Lucy has since signed to Simon's label, and asked him to walk her down the aisle.
Talking to Hello about the day, Simon said: "I was very honoured to be asked to walk Lucy down the aisle. "I considered it a very big deal.
As soon as she asked me, I said yes. On the day I was actually quite nervous because l've never been asked before. And then very proud and happy and emotional." He went on to say the pair of them have developed a 'special bond' and feel like family.
Lucy added: "Everything people get from their fathers I get from Simon. He's a constant support and he and Lauren constantly check in and make sure I'm OK." Lucy announced her engagement to Emilia in March when she told her followers 'when you know, you know".
