Willow Shields, known for her role as Primrose Everdeen in The Hunger Games, is barely recognisable years after the film. At just 11 years old, she made her big-screen debut playing Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen's younger sister. Besides her notable role alongside the Hollywood star, she has also appeared in Netflix's Spinning Out, Beyond the Blackboard with Emily VanCamp and most recently, When Time Got Louder.
However, fans who remember Willow from The Hunger Games were taken aback when the actress shared a recent photo on Instagram flaunting her gym-honed physique. Now 24, Willow is incredibly fit, with her toned snap racking up more than 16,000 likes. But some fans couldn't believe that she was the same girl who portrayed Katniss' gentle little sister, with one fan exclaiming: "The way my jaw literally dropped," reports the Mirror.
"You look amazing," they added after the April upload. "You've come a long way since The Hunger Games," another chimed in. While another fan commented that her body looked "strong and incredible," acknowledging her early rise to fame in Hollywood.
Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Willow, along with her real-life twin sister Autumn, starred in 2009's Plain Sight before filming The Hunger Games in 2012. She later featured in the fantasy film Into the Rainbow in 2017 before landing her recent role on Netflix.
Throughout her dazzling career, she's bagged a Young Hollywood Award and an MTV Award, all while sharing snippets of her life and adventures on social media. However, she recently opened up about the darker side of online fame, revealing to her followers that she had been "blackmailed and extorted" for intimate photos "never meant to be shared with the whole world."
