Her first-time release of a “The Lakes” single leads the way for hundreds of releases that range from a deluxe “Blue Velvet” soundtrack reissue and two John Williams 90th-birthday releases to rarities collections from Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed and David Bowie… and from unreleased jazz concerts by Charles Mingus and Bill Evans to vinyl reissues of albums by Prince, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Childish Gambino, Stevie Nicks, the Cure, Kacey Musgraves and Pearl Jam.This year’s RSD will be on April 23 — the weekend after Easter, and Tax Day, to lighten the load on religious or business conflicts.

Noel Gallagher is the latest artist to pay tribute to David Bowie for the late, great pop and rock icon’s David Bowie Is series, touching on the last time the former Oasis leader conversed with Bowie.Not to be confused with a museum exhibit that toured the world between 2013 and 2018 (also named David Bowie Is), the series began last month with a seven-minute video showing Dave Grohl, Yungblud and Ricky Gervais reminiscing on their favourite Bowie moments, songs and interactions, and touching on the ways Bowie influenced their own careers. It was followed by a second video from Grohl at the end of January, and then one from Elvis Costello at the start of February.For the series’ fourth instalment, Gallagher looked back fondly on Bowie’s “forever changing” legacy, likening him to The Beatles and describing him as “fearless and not afraid of ridicule” with “a great, unique voice”.

King Crimson founder Robert Fripp and his wife, singer Toyah Willcox, have shared a cover of ‘Too Drunk To Fuck’ by The Dead Kennedys – watch it below.The special Valentine’s Day cover – which they’ve renamed ‘Too Drunk To Funk’ – is a part of the pair’s ‘Sunday Lunch’ video series which returned last month after a brief break for the holidays.Launched in 2020, the series has so far seen the couple share renditions of songs by Ramones, Nirvana, David Bowie, Metallica, Billy Idol, The Rolling Stones, Judas Priest, The Prodigy, Guns N’ Roses, Alice Cooper and many more through Willcox’s YouTube channel.Last week’s cover saw the pair perform Billy Idol’s ‘White Wedding’.

RZA and producer DJ Scratch have released an official music video for their single ‘Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater’, which originally dropped last year.The Danny Hastings and RZA-directed clip arrived on Friday (February 4), and plays out like an old-school martial arts movie. David Bowie‘s The Man Who Fell To Earth.The classic sci-fi movie, based on Walter Tevis’ 1963 novel of the same name, marked one of Bowie’s most memorable roles, as Thomas Jerome Newton – an alien posing as a human in an attempt to save his home planet.Nighy joins Chiwetel Ejiofor, Naomie Harris and Rob Delaney who were all previously announced for the Showtime series.“I was honoured to be invited to play the part of Thomas Jerome Newton that glorious David Bowie made so famous,” said Nighy in a statement to Deadline.“I was keen to work with Chiwetel and Naomie again. I think the story is terrific and brilliantly expressed.

Bill Nighy (Love Actually) has been tapped to star opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris in Showtime’s The Man Who Fell To Earth drama series, based on the Walter Tevis novel and the cult classic 1976 film starring David Bowie. Nighy will play the role played by Bowie in the film in the series, which comes from Alex Kurtzman, Jenny Lumet and John Hlavin. It will premiere later this year.

Jay Pharoah is looking back on working with Bob Saget on a music video shortly before his death.The alum spoke with ET's Kevin Frazier, and was joined by DJ Whoo Kid, as they reflected on Saget's appearance in the music video for Desiigner's «Bakin,» which drops next week.In the video, Saget plays a chef, and Pharoah recalled how he was actually scheduled to appear in the scene alongside Saget on the day of the shoot.«I was supposed to be in the scene with him but I showed up late,» the comic recalled. «You always think in your head, 'You know what, I'll see him. I'm going to see him around, I can talk to him.' But you don't know how long you have with people, man.»According to DJ Whoo Kid, Saget was hesitant at first, because he wasn't sure what the video would involve.When asked how Saget felt about the video's more sexually charged or racy content, DJ Whoo Kid recalled, «He was very adamant about the respect for women and stuff like that.
