Her first-time release of a “The Lakes” single leads the way for hundreds of releases that range from a deluxe “Blue Velvet” soundtrack reissue and two John Williams 90th-birthday releases to rarities collections from Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed and David Bowie… and from unreleased jazz concerts by Charles Mingus and Bill Evans to vinyl reissues of albums by Prince, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Childish Gambino, Stevie Nicks, the Cure, Kacey Musgraves and Pearl Jam.This year’s RSD will be on April 23 — the weekend after Easter, and Tax Day, to lighten the load on religious or business conflicts.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterBill Nighy has signed on to star in the upcoming Showtime series version of “The Man Who Fell to Earth,” Variety has learned.Nighy joins previously announced cast members Chiwetel Ejiofor, Naomie Harris, Jimmi Simpson, Rob Delaney, Sonya Cassidy, Joana Ribeiro, Annelle Olaleye, Kate Mulgrew and Clarke Peters in the series.Based on the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the film that starred David Bowie, the series will follow a new alien character named Faraday (Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future.Nighy will play Thomas Newton, the main character of the novel and the character played by Bowie in the film version. Newton was the first alien to arrive on earth over 40 years ago. Alone and desperate, Newton summons Faraday to complete his original mission.

David Bowie tribute band Holy Holy have announced that they have removed drummer Woody Woodmansey from an upcoming tour due to his unvaccinated status.The band, which also features Bowie’s longtime producer Tony Visconti, are set to tour the UK for a series of ‘Best Of Bowie’ shows in March.Woodmansey, who played drums for Bowie in his Spiders From Mars era, told fans in a statement on Friday (January 28) that he was no longer in the band, as the other members didn’t feel it was safe to tour with a member not protected against COVID.“It is with deep regret that I have to announce I will no longer be a part of the band Holy Holy,” he wrote.“Due to my medical exemption regarding the C19 vaccination, the band do not feel safe having me involved and have replaced me in the band.
