A woman’s body has been found on a beach at Hunstanton, Norfolk Police said.
The woman’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of her death.
The force said officers were called to Seagate Road at about 11.45pm on Friday after a person reported finding the woman’s body on the beach opposite the Sea Life Centre.
A police cordon was in place until 10am on Saturday while initial enquiries were carried out and the woman’s body was recovered.
The statement added: “Officers have so far been unable to identify the woman and enquiries are ongoing.”
