Police have launched a probe after a body was discovered at a Scots reservoir this morning.
Emergency services raced to Murdieston Dam, Greenock at around 7.30am on Thursday following the grim discovery.
Officers taped off the area and were seen standing guard on Wallace Street and Murdieston Street as investigations into the circumstances surrounding what happened were carried out.
Police say they are continuing to investigate.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.25am on Thursday, 2 November, 2023, police were called to the Murdieston Dam following the discovery of a body.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
