A woman who had to learn how to walk again after being involved in a horror crash that killed her dad was so inspired by the medics that helped her recover, that she switched careers to the NHS.
Bethany Lee broke both femurs and "basically everything" inside her ruptured when the car she was in was hit from behind by a van on the motorway. She spent months recovering, with seemingly endless treatments and surgeries - and she had to spend Christmas and her 21st birthday in a hospital bed.

Peter's partner, Lorraine, previously said: "He was a lovely, lovely dad and partner. He was my best friend and a super loving dad to Bethany and Jasmine. Almost five years on from the life-changing incident, Bethany has made an amazing recovery and wants to honour the NHS workers who helped her realise her dream of walking again. Bethany, now 25, said: “I broke both my femurs and basically everything inside me ruptured –
