Police have recovered thirteen stolen high value cars following a burglary in Trafford. Officers from the Neighbourhood Crime Team carried out a raid in Ashton today (August 8).

A woman was tragically found dead on a street near Manchester city centre.
Emergency services rushed to New Bailey Street in Salford, on the border with the city centre, at around 6.45pm last night (Wednesday). Police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman.
Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details have been released about her at this stage.

Police said her death is not believed to have been suspicious. A referral has been made to the coroner.
Forensic officers were spotted working in the area near to the New Bailey NCP car park last night. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 6:45pm on Wednesday 20 July 2022, we received reports of a concern for the welfare of a woman on New Bailey Street, Salford.
"Despite the best attempts of the emergency services sadly the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is believed the death was not suspicious and a file has been passed onto the coroner."
