A man who launched a series of brutal attacks on his girlfriend has been jailed for six years. Jamie Brock's reign of terror was so horrifying that the woman screamed in desperation: "If you're going to kill me, just do it quickly, I've had enough."
The woman was strangled, bitten and repeatedly punched by Brock, 30, in a string of violent assaults. In one incident, the fiend bit her ear and said "I'm going to bite your ear off, you b****," reports the Manchester Evening News.
Brock assaulted his then partner after accusing her of cheating on him after another man "touched her shoulder". He made threats to kill her and in desperation she made the cry for her pain to end.
Manchester Crown Court heard the pair entered a relationship which would become toxic in January 2021. Both were said to be living "chaotic lifestyles" and abused alcohol. Brock was also said to have been using drugs.
He had previously attacked the woman but was released under investigation and struck again last June. He would become the subject of a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO), banning him from contacting the woman.
On June 6, they were drinking at his flat when he accused her of checking his mobile phone and grabbed her by the neck, the court heard. Prosecuting Paul Hodgkinson said: "She thinks she passed out as when she came round she could feel the defendant's hands around her neck, causing her to struggle to breathe.
"She believed she was going to die. He started punching her to the face, ripped her trousers and underwear, poured Coca Cola over her and called her degrading names such as 'dirty little f***ing tramp'."
The woman escaped and fled to the home of a neighbour as Brock was arrested by police. He claimed he acted in self-defence
