A woman accused of murdering her mother could go on trial in the New Year.
Cassandra Scott, 35, appeared before a judge after being charged with the murder of 58-year-old Beverley Scott.
Ms Scott, who appeared via video link, was not asked to enter a plea during a short hearing at Manchester Crown Court.
She only spoke to confirm her name.

court heard that 59-year-old Corinna Baines 'brutally and painfully' killed her husband. Baines was found guilty of murdering her 81-year-old husband at their home in the Wirral, near Liverpool, reports the Manchester Evening News.The mum killed Michael Baines on July 14, 2020, after a family dispute took place.
