A man allegedly attacked a taxi driver with a machete before setting a car on fire, a trial has heard.
Kieran Shortman, 35, and another unknown male, jumped out of a black Peugeot 3008 before hitting Daniel Rothwell with the long knives in Whitefield last year, Manchester Crown Court heard.
The two men attacked Mr Rothwell for a number of minutes before fleeing in the car, it was said.
