On Monday (June 24), it was announced that the 55-year-old Oscar-winning actor will be performing a brand new original song at the 2024 BET Awards taking place on Sunday, June 30.
“From his start as a rapper to The Fresh Prince to being a box office king as one of the Bad Boys, Will Smith is truly a global icon, and we are honored to welcome him back to grace the BET Awards stage,” Connie Orlando – EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET – shared in a statement with Deadline.

Will‘s performance at the awards show comes a few months after he made a surprise appearance during J Balvin‘s set at Coachella in April.
