The Grammy Awards 2022 took place on Sunday 3 April, with hundreds of stars gathering at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to find out who this year's winners were. Musicians including Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa all wowed on the red carpet, and there was many memorable moments throughout the evening, including a moving speech from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Many talented artists had received nominations, and the ceremony saw Foo Fighters, Olivia Rodrigo, and Jon Batiste all win big.
However, there was one star who received no nominations this year, and after her epic comeback at the end of 2021, fans were understandably surprised by Adele's absence from the 64th Grammy Awards. And while in the past she's won big at the Grammy Awards, this year Adele didn't receive a single nomination.
However, the star wasn't snubbed by the Grammys - her new music was released after the cut-off date for nominations. The eligibility period for the 2022 Grammy Awards was from 1 September 2020 until 30 September 2021. Adele released her hit single, Easy On Me, in 15 October 2021 and her album followed on 19 November, meaning she missed the cut-off date.
