Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed his assistant manager Mitchell van der Gaag will be taking his place on the touchline for Sunday afternoon's encounter with Everton.
The Reds' boss was handed a one-match touchline ban in the victory against Luton Town prior to the international break after picking up his third booking of the season. As such, Ten Hag will be sitting in the director's box at Goodison Park this afternoon and will not be allowed on the touchline at any point this afternoon. However, the Dutchman does not believe the ban will be of hindrance to him or his team.

He told United's in-house media: "I’m quite confident. I will have an even better overview [from the stands], but we have a very good backroom staff.
"They are very capable and experienced, so they know what to do. That will not affect our game."
United head into the match at Everton with a busy and important week lying ahead of them. A victory on Merseyside would set the tone for Ten Hag's men and their manager is set out what he demands from his squad.
