The Tinder Swindler is the jaw-dropping story of a prolific conman who posed as a billionaire playboy to scam a string of women.

By the time she found out he was a fraud, it was too late. He had taken her for everything.
But where the fairytale ended, a revenge thriller began. Cecilie tracked down some of his other targets and, working together, the women set about bringing him down.
The Tinder Swindler examines the crimes of conman Shimon Hayut, a 31-year-old who posed as a billionaire named Simon Leviev on Tinder.
He referred to himself as the "prince of diamonds", claiming to be the son of Russian-Israeli billionaire and "king of diamonds" Lev Leviev.
Shimon legally changed his surname to Leviev, pretended to be a powerful CEO and hired a team of fake assistants, business partners and a bodyguard.
He would match with his victims on Tinder then lavish them with expensive gifts and luxury trips - using money he’d scammed from other women. To maintain the act, he would ask for money from his latest marks - tricking them to open up lines of credit, claiming he needed money for his extensive security needs.
One of his victims, Cecilie Fjellhoy, matched with him in 2018 when she was living in London. He flew her on a private jet from the capital city to Bulgaria.
"When I first talked with Simon, we immediately had a bond," Cecilie says in the Netflix show.
