A group of celebrities will be getting their skates on as Dancing on Ice returns to our TV screens on ITV for a sixteenth series. Twelve famous faces will team up with a professional partner to perfect and show off their dancing and skating skills.
Among those taking part this year is Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi. Roxy, who grew up Whalley Range, will skate with professional Sylvain Longchambon.
Roxy, 40, has appeared in the ITV soap show since 2008 as Leyla Harding - leaving the show for two ears between 2011 and 2013.
In 2019 Roxy was nominated in the Best Soap Actress category at the TV Choice Awards in 2019. Away from the soap Roxy is married to British actor Arsher Ali who has appeared in a number of films and television shows including Four Lions, Doctor Who and Line of Duty.

The couple, who live in Nottingham, married in 2010 and have a daughter. Roxy is also a yoga enthusiast and she regularly shares videos on YouTube to her thousands of subscribers.
This year was not the first time Roxy has been asked to appear in Dancing on Ice - after she was forced to turn it down previously. Roxy explained: "I wanted to do the show nearly seven years ago. I thought it'd be fabulous, lots of sequins and big hair.
"At that time, I then realised I was 12 weeks pregnant which I didn't know when I had the meeting. I had to say,"Oh, look, I'm pregnant. I don't think it's going to be a good idea for me." And then my daughter was small and it's a huge commitment.
"I'd still be working at Emmerdale, and the travel, once the live shows happen is very demanding. I just knew for a long time it wasn't really something that would be right for
