ITV Dancing on Ice fans say it's 'not her fault' as they jump to pro skater's defence after debut with new partner

Dancing on Ice fans have jumped to the defence of one of the show's professional skaters following her first performance of the series. The hit ITV skating competition returned to screens on Sunday night (January 21) for week two.
During the 2024 series debut last weekend, viewers saw the first six celebrities - Ryan Thomas, Roxy Shahidi, Ricky Hatton, Hannah Spearritt, Greg Rutherford and Amber Davies - take to the ice for their debut performances with their professional skater partners.
This weekend, the six famous faces who completed this year's line-up - Adele Roberts, Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards, Claire Sweeney, Miles Nazaire, Lou Sanders and Ricky Norwood - all took to the ice for the first time before the first skate-off and elimination of the 2024 series.

Boxer Ricky already knew he'd be skating again for his place in the competition before it was comedian Lou who found herself joining him following her first performance live on the ice. Both performed a fresh routine for the judges who in the end unanimously decided to send Ricky and his pro partner Robin Johnstone home.
Meanwhile, the judges admitted to being 'surprised' when Eddie pulled off a determined first performance with professional partner Vicky Ogden. The Olympic ski jumper was a late addition to the line-up as he replaced former Gogglebox star Stephen Webb after he broke his ankle during training.
